Please try to follow these rules while role playing here. We want everyone's experience at Oresia to be fun and memorable. Some of these may seem like "duh!" but we want to make sure everyone knows them anyway.
~Respect everyone, especially the admins. Just because you don't like someone's character doesn't mean you can be rude to that person. Remember that the game and real life are completely different. Also, please refrain from making any racist/sexist/anti-religious etc. comments outside the role play.
~Please use Pernees swearing only. While words such as "shells", "by the egg", etc. are accepted, normal Earth swearing will not be tolerated.
~Don't go overboard. If I had to give this site a rating, it would probably be close to PG-13. Violence is allowed (maulings DO happen after all), as is steamy romance. Just keep it in check. If you think your role play might get to the point where it would offend a random lurker, just put a notification somewhere so they know they should stop reading.
~Please try and be literate. While we all understand writer's block and typos, it is really hard to respond to a post that only has 2 sentances to it. If each member puts some thought and detail into their posts, it helps the role play progress. Also, there is a spell check button availible for each post. While we wont require people to use it (it tends to freak out over all the Pern-unique words), if you have no idea how to spell a word, it can help.
~Don't throw a tantrum. If you have a problem with something, point it out to one of the administrators. If you calmly and respectfully explain the issue, people will be more willing to help you resolve it than if you make a scene.
~Have fun! I created this board because I love the Dragon Rider's of Pern, and want to share this love and creativity with you. If you have plot ideas (big and small) go ahead and start them. Conflict and drama are amazing things for role plays, and they are often hard to come up with, so we appreciate all your ideas. Steamy rommances are also encouraged, as well as general mischief. Life is never all hunky-dory, so why should a role play be?
