Oresia's walls are made up of two large, canyon like ranges- the Greater Range and the Lesser Range. The two taper to a point where the Lake drains out through a smaller river. The rock that makes up the weyr is unique, a grey stone laced with white marble. There is not enough marble in one spot to be considered worth mining, but the trails of contrasting color have become a defining characteristic of the weyr.
The Greater Range provides housing for all of the dragon riders, including the queen's wing and the weyrling barracks. The Lesser Range is entirely devoted to the Lower Caverns, and provides housing for the weryfolk as well as the canidate quarters. At the center of the weyrbowl is a small pit which may once have been used as a mining site or quarry, but has been converted into a sort of tierd garden.
